We are looking for a member of the league who has excellent people and project coordination skills and has demonstrated a strong interest in taking on leadership roles within the league. This individual(s) should have an interest in both the day-to-day operations as well as the long-term strategic goals and planning of the league. They will have an awareness of all the operations and initiatives the league and Collective are undertaking and be able to advise on the next steps or coordinate individuals to achieve future actions. They will also co-lead the coordination of our insurance and permit in partnership with the Player Logistics & Technology Coordinator.
This role is for you if:
- You are an executor who likes to get things done and is comfortable organizing and coordinating others (ideally with some project or program coordination skills or experience)
- You are highly reliable and willing to move into an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the league
- You are an open communicator, willing and able to call others into decision-making processes and take on responsibilities, as well as communicate openly and often with the Board
- You are able to attend and facilitate all Collective meetings, including the Annual General Meeting, and set an agenda for these meetings
- You are able to dedicate 2+ hours per week to PTSL-related work (this number may vary, and ideally, we’d like to share the workload across two individuals)
We endeavour to provide PTSL with a Collective that is representative of our members – all PTSL players of all intersectional identities are welcome on our leadership team. We will give preference to those who have played at least one season in PTSL, BIPOC individuals, and any members who have noticeably demonstrated the values of the league both on and off the field. Most importantly, we’re looking for members who exemplify league values of inclusion, collaboration, willingness to both learn and teach others, and creating a welcoming space for all members of our community, regardless of athletic ability or skill.
Collective members meet once a month for 2-3 hours. Members are asked to attend a minimum of 75% (9) of these meetings to support decision-making within the league. If you would like to take on one of the roles above but are unable to commit to monthly meetings, please let us know, and we are happy to accommodate and find a version of the role that will work for us all!
